Napa Valley Limoncello XO

Napa Valley, just north of the San Francisco bay area and known as wine country, has produced its first “Limoncello” (an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy). Using organic Meyer Lemons, Napa Valley Limoncello Co.’s XO blend is rich and juicy with lemon flavors, a hint of vanilla and honey. The organic Meyer Lemons are first hand-peeled and then examined to remove any trace of pith. The peels are then infused in a distilled spirit to draw out all the essential oils. The company recently won the platinum prize at the 2009-2010 World Beverage Competition in the Spirits/Liqueur category.
